Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris Announced for PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Sword Art Online returns to consoles again with the Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris. The game uses the setting for the current season of the anime series in Project Alicization.

In revealing trailer we see scenes by Quinella (the most important antagonist of the first part of the anime season) and Eugeo's Blue Rose magazine. From the appearance of this, this can only be a standard story of the anime series, but there may be some deviations from the plot.

We get glimpses of action between the characters Kirito, Eugeo and Alice. The presentation looks like the former Sword Art Online titles, although the environments seem a little extra polished. Especially the home town of Eugeo.

No official gameplay recording, but we have to wait to see if we get another pseudo-MMO emotional fight or maybe a hack-n-slash. It will also be interesting to see if the game will allow more playable characters, given the grade of anime season.

Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris releases on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. No official release date, but I could see it drop close to the third course of the anime season.
